The Girls With Power North Andover Chapter aims to support young women throughout North Andover by empowering them and giving them the means necessary to reach success.

Our first-ever event was just recently hosted on August 30th! We hosted a Public Speaking and Confidence Seminar. During the first meeting, we discussed public speaking, common fears people have, and how to overcome them. The meeting was a great first start to many more exciting events! It was a great and engaging seminar, helping young girls with entrepreneurship, public speaking, and confidence.

We started with some icebreakers and short introductions since we are fairly new! Afterwards, we talked about public speaking, what it was, and our own experiences with it. We then went on to discuss why a lot of people are often nervous to speak up, the reasons behind that, and how to connect with the girls. We also talked about common tricks we use in our day-to-day life, like fake it till you make it, emphasizing that everyone's afraid, but strength is overcoming their fears and continuing despite being afraid. We wrapped up by asking for any questions and talking about our next event, which is coming up in September.
